Orifice Plates and Orifice Fittings

It is easier to use an indirect method to measure natural gas, rather than the direct methods used to measure oil. Orifice meters are commonly used to accurately measure gas flow. This video presentation describes orifice plates for field-level personnel, explains their function, describes the fittings found in the oil patch, and explains how important it is to keep both plates and fittings in good condition. Produced in cooperation with the API Audiovisual Committee. Part of the PETEX-API Audiovisual Repository. 1990, 21 minutes, 117 slides, video transfer from slides. Comes with a non-illustrated script, an instructor’s guide, and a workbook.
